Reduce Project Costs

AquaPave® pervious concrete eliminates the need for additional single-purpose infiltration treatment devices and conventional drain pipes, both of which can reduce the amount of developable land and add costs to your project.

Simplify Storwater System Design

Pervious concrete is an infiltration and treatment device, which eliminates the need for:

    • detention ponds
    • storage tanks
    • flow-through planters
    • infiltration trenches

Relying on infiltration rather than surface water flow and transport eliminates:

    • drainage pipes
    • kerbs
    • gutters and slopes

Reduce Life Cycle Costs

Pervious concrete has a significantly longer longevity than asphalt, thus lowering its overall Life Cycle Cost. AquaPave® pervious concrete will last 30 to 50 years unaided, whereas asphalt must be maintained every 3 to 5 years during its 15 to 20 year life cycle.

Pervious concrete allows water to absorb and for soils to expand evenly across the slab, unlike concrete and asphalt, where infiltration along the perimeter causes differential expansion and leads to cracking.

Properly designed systems are proven to perform at high levels of infiltration with little to no maintenance. In most situations, removing surface debris with a leaf-blower is all the maintenance needed.
